About the event
Every year, millions of electronics are discarded—often still functional, but made obsolete by design. Join us for an engaging panel discussion exploring the growing problem of e-waste and the systems that drive it, from planned obsolescence to consumer packaging. Through the lens of creative reuse, we’ll hear from voices across the spectrum—including artists who transform discarded tech into provocative works, repair advocates keeping devices alive, local waste professionals handling e-waste on the front lines, and a product packaging designer rethinking how things are made and marketed. Together, we’ll unpack the role of design, industry, and individual action—and how creative approaches to reuse and repair can disrupt the waste cycle.
This event is an official event of Florida Climate Week presented by the Volo Foundation and is supported in part by the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County | Palm Beach County.
Featured Speakers: Christopher Jöhncke, Mitch Parker, Suhaan Mahtani and Mike…
